That's not what I was expecting, but I can see it I suppose. They are pointy and fast-moving.

I once read a story about a man who was riding a motorcycle and ran into a hummingbird and it pierced into his chest. Now, I think the chances of that story being truthful are quite dubious, but it really made an impression upon me.

You should probably schedule your eventual visit here in the winter, then, because we have hummingbirds and also hummingbird moths that are slightly smaller and definitely fuzzier and also very fast with loud noises.

OT: It is raining properly for the first time in several weeks and we have sprung leaks so I am anxiously watching drips from the main hatch and hoping the rain fucks off soon so said leaks can be fixed.

I'm watching That Thing You Do for the second time tonight. They had a watch along on YouTube earlier but I was paying more attention to them than the movie that time so now I'm watching it so I can actually watch.

I am taking part in the first of a university course webinar series that we're giving (I'm doing one tomorrow) and the lecturer's daughter keeps coming in to speak to him.

I need to clean my computer screen

My poor husband is sitting in a hospital car park waiting while our friend, who has sliced his hand open, is seen. Only the patient is allowed inside, so I fear he (Mr K) will have a very long and boring wait. I'm trying to figure out if I can bake anything for his return with the ingredients I have available to me.

I BET. I wish I could find a good pizza place down here. There's one like an hour away in Clearwater - SO GOOD. As good as you have to be to make it in Jersey. None of the other places I've tried could even stay in business!

I blame the public. The public seems perfectly content to eat this shit. It's like removing the selection pressures from the system, result? MUTANTS THRIVE instead of being MERCILESSLY CULLED.

I hate and loathe humankind for the stupidity with which they accept subpar pizza. However, it's kind of an abstract hatred and loathing. I've never actually hated or loathed a person for that. That would be harsh.

I'm not sure this would count as 'done right'. It was Papa John's, after all. But they've got an excellent veggie range and do 2 for 1 on Tuesdays and we were really fucking hungry.
